Twidroyd’s parent company, PostUp, Inc., is based in Pasadena, CA and is run by a renowned team of industry veterans.
Bill Gross, CEO, founded PostUp in early 2010 in an effort to enable serious tweeters to have their voices heard above the constant noise of Twitter. Bill is also the CEO of Idealab, where he has started over 75 companies, including GoTo/Overture, whose model for paid search became the foundation for many companies on the Internet. He serves on the boards of directors of numerous companies and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the California Institute of Technology and of the Art Center College of Design
Jon Kraft is the Chief Operating Officer at PostUp. He has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur in software and new media. Jon was most recently COO for Big Stage Entertainment, Inc., an advanced avatar platform company recognized by Forbes in 2009 as one of America’s 20 Most Promising Companies. Jon previously served as co-founder and CEO of Pandora Media, the largest and fastest growing online radio site in the world.
Steve Chadima is PostUp’s Chief Marketing Officer. He joined PostUp from Suntech, the world’s largest solar module manufacturer, where he was VP External Affairs, responsible for public policy, investor relations and corporate communications. Steve has been involved with a wide variety of technology start-ups, including hardware, software and Internet companies, in the lead marketing and/or public policy role. He also ran regional offices of Regis McKenna, Inc. and Connors Communications, leading technology communications firms in the 1980s and 1990s, respectively.
Howard Spector, Senior Director of Content, oversees the Content Group and Customer Experience/Support. He is a 17-year veteran of technology companies with a wide range of experience in start-ups. He is the former director of operations for the Los Angeles office of US Interactive, where he managed the launch of more than 20 e-commerce companies and Internet business initiatives.?
Joe Sarmiento, who leads our business development efforts, is now with his third Idealab company. He was one of 2 founding members of the Inside Sales Group at Overture. While at Overture, the group grew to over 40 people and revenues in excess of $2 million per month. He spent a year there post-Yahoo acquisition before going to Snap. At Snap, he grew the publisher network into a Top 30 network as rated by Comscore. He is responsible for growing PostUp’s distribution network and Twidroyd’s user base.
Jamie Belsky is the Manager of Strategic Partnerships for PostUp and Twidroyd. He handles all business development relationships ensuring the PostUp/Twidroyd experience is as positive for our partners as it is for our users. Prior to joining PostUp, Jamie was manager of online content and development for Idealab.
Martha Preston is a business analyst at PostUp and at Twidroyd, where she most often focuses on customer support. Although she now lives and works in Pasadena, California, Martha is originally from Portland, Oregon.
Ralph Zimmermann & Thomas Marban are the original founders of Twidroyd, the first Twitter client for Android that launched in fall of 2008. Twidroyd was acquired by PostUp in July 2010.
